Are long distance runners lonely?

If you think the answer is yes, you don’t know running - yet. Long distance running is never a lonely sport.

Here’s the funny thing about running: how you view running is what running will be.

And what you put in, you get out of it. Literally. Think it hurts, it will hurt. Think it’s great, it’s great. Think it’s play, it will be. Think it breaks you, it will. Think it challenges you, it does too.

The great thing is, if you learn to work with your emotions, your senses, your mind and your body, the magic of running will reveal itself. And the runner’s high will always be within reach.
